Glimepiride No Prescription

Glimepiride is prescribed for concomitant use with insulin for the treatment of noninsulin-dependent (type 2) diabetes mellitus.
Glimepiride is prescribed with diet and exercise to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and therefore cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Glimepiride stimulates your pancreas to make more insulin and also makes your body more sensitive to insulin. Glimepiride may be used with or without insulin.

Glimepiride Contraindications

Glimepiride is contraindicated in Patients with:

- Diabetic ketoacidosis, with or without coma. This condition should be treated with insulin.
- Known hypersensitivity to the drug.
